Movie Review by Peggy (grade 12)

The story, Ratatouille, begins in Paris. A little mouse, Remy, who loves cooking because of Chef Gusteau’s saying --- anyone can cook. After leaving his home, Remy arrives at Gusteau’s restaurant. At first, he wants to leave there, but he does not after finding out Linguini needs a job and the help from him. Remy controls Linguini’s actions by pulling Linguini’s hair to cook. Moreover, Remy accidentally finds the papers which prove Linguini is Gusteau’s son in Chef Skinner’s office.

One night, the famous critic, Anton Ego, whose bad review kills Gusteau, comes to the restaurant Remy, Colette, and the rat clan cook together. After eating Ratatouille, Ego goes back to his childhood and remembers how much he enjoys this dish. Although Linguini and Remy have a big argument in the middle of the story, they run a bistro, Ratatouille, in the end.
